The "Dr. Snip" Story

Dr. Charles Wilson, a skilled and caring physician, was one of the first doctors in the U.S. to offer no-scalpel vasectomy. At the time, vasectomy was a feared and unpleasant procedure; Dr. Wilson made it his mission to change this. He continuously improved upon traditional vasectomy technique, which included designing new vasectomy instruments to make the procedure quick and less invasive.

In 1995, Dr. Wilson’s work was discovered by a newspaper journalist who wrote an informative article about his innovative clinic. Tongue in cheek, he referred to Dr. Wilson as “Dr. Snip”.

Well, the name stuck and eventually as more doctors joined the practice, Dr. Wilson renamed his clinic “DrSnip”. Today, the brand is a light-hearted reminder of our roots in innovation, empathy, and a relentless focus on improving the patient experience.
